This was kind of a spur-of-the-moment tattoo. Silhouette of a girl, about as large as my hand. On my right upper arm. I'll eventually get it "framed" like a cameo. (like this one http://www.flickr.com/photos/maiktattoo/6716293401/ )
Also, how this managed to get a cat hair on it .2 seconds after taking the bandage off is beyond me..

Putting a bandage over it prevents it from breathing, which is imperative to the healing process. Right now it's secreting plasma, plus you put aftercare lotion on it- so if you bandage it the area becomes a warm/moist breeding ground for bacteria.

I got my first tattoo at 18. Took me 4 more years to get #2, but then I got #3-5 within the past 7 months lol. I have a big shoulder piece that I've already put a deposit in for April. Told H after that and the cameo frame I'm done.....for this year :P

Good to know! I would love to get a tat someday; it just hasn't been right timing yet plus the $$ is a definite factor. I was saving up to get one at River City Tattoo in Richmond when I got PG with L. And then? it just never happened in the 8 years since. :::::sigh:::::
The last 2 I got were FREE (well, I had to buy the $15 after-care kit and I tipped him, but the tattoo cost me nothing) since I let an apprentice at the shop I go to do them.
The shoulder piece will be at least $700, so free was the only way I could justify getting these lol.

Props to you for having more balls than me. That would freak me out.
P.S. I have one on the top of each foot... I got them both during the winter (poor planning on my part) I was able to wear shoes no problem but sleeping with them outside my covers drove me insane!
Oh I have quite a few. First at 17 up until a year or so ago. It's just.. I find more stuff to use money on lol.. and what I want will take a lot of time and money.. Sigh.
They only bleed while you're getting it tattooed.
The first few days after it's done it secretes plasma (which is clear) and excess ink.

This. I left a big black stain on a friend's red microfiber couch after getting the one on my back. I paid more to have her couch cleaned than I paid for the big asss tattoo. I have 4-5 more planned.
