Did anyone have to have this? Apparently, my kid has an arrhythmia, which could either mean sudden death or really bad hiccups. WTF. They can't take me until Friday, and I also have to have my glucose tolerance test that day. Blerg.

We, we like to party.
Re: Moms - fetal echo?
I haven't, but my bestie had some u/s heart weirdness that turned out to be nothing. Her doctor said usually it's nothing, and of course there's a lot they can do now with fetal or postpartum surgery that weren't possible 20 years ago.

"The meek shall inherit the earth" isn't about children. It's about deer. We're all going to get messed the fuckup by a bunch of cloned super-deer.- samfish2bcrab
Sometimes I wonder if scientists have never seen a sci-fi movie before. "Oh yes, let's create a super species of deer. NOTHING COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG." I wonder if State Farm offers a Zombie Deer Attack policy. -CaliopeSpidrman

We had one as the result of our NT scan. Once all the chromosomal tests came back normal they said the next thing to look at was structural heart defects.
It was basically just a really long ultrasound. It's stressful because the tech doesn't say anything, and you don't really know what you're looking at. So I kept staring and the red and blue spots on the monitor and wondering what they meant. We also got to see the 4 chambers of the heart, but again, I didn't know if the little fluttering between the chambers was normal or completely off or not supposed to be there at all, you know?
Anyway, I know when you're worried about your baby it's impossible not to think in worse case scenarios, but I'm sending big vibes for a hiccuppy baby.

Wilmaforce is sending you hiccup vibes. I'm pretty sure she started having hiccups right before I opened this post so I hope that means her vibez are powerful.
