Clothes Mentor

Has anyone sold your clothes here?  I know a long time ago when I sold some stuff to Platos Closet they didn't give you hardly anything.  Just wondering if this place was different or not.

Re: Clothes Mentor

  • I have not, but I just wanted to say I have had the best luck lately selling my stuff on FB. Our town has an area "online yard sale" that I have sold a lot on. I have also just listed in on my FB and it has all sold very fast and I get to pick how much I sell it for. I have seen many people that I am friends with on FB start doing this.
  • Clothes Mentor is as bad if not worse than Plato's Closet.  I took in 5 suits full suits that were new with tags, 2 pairs of dress pants with tags, and 5 dresses also new with tags worth over $3k retail from places like Saks to be offered $40 total.  It was 17 pieces of clothing.  They also told me not to ever bring anything on hangers again and got very rude about it all.  I'm sorry but I will not put a suit in a laundry basket to be dug through by them.  Their markup is huge there judging by how much things were on the racks.

  • Thanks...I had a feeling that this was the case.  I won't bother & will try putting some stuff on Ebay!
