Hey, did you NFL fans know?
Tim Tebow is a better QB than Peyton Manning! John Elway was afraid Tebow was going to take the spotlight away from himself, so he found a way to get rid of Tebow. It would totally be hilarious if Manning got re-injured at his first practice. And he's probably just going to get a DUI with all the money he's going to get.
This brought to you by rabid Tebow fans on Facebook. I've got nothing against the guy, but his fans are the worst.
Re: Hey, did you NFL fans know?
*eyeroll*
I've said from the get-go that Peyton would go to Denver. I'm curious to see where Tebow will end up. I couldn't care less, I'm more worried about my team falling apart.
S/O
Stan,
I can't believe you guys released Brandon Jacobs! I hope we snatch him up!
BLT,
I can believe it. He whines, he's getting old and slow, and I prefer someone cheaper as Bradshaw's second. And he whines in the media. The Mara/Tisch peeps don't roll that way.
I hope whatever team he ends up on is a better fit.
Interesting. I haven't heard much about him but he's also not on my team. I was a little sad to see Hines Ward go but he too is getting old and just not playing as well.
At least he didn't quit a la Santonio Holmes or Randy Moss.
Oh totally. I don't even know what's going to happen with my freakin' Cowboys this year. Probably business as usual with them
It's just interesting that these lifelong Broncos fans are so fiercely loyal to Tebow for his morality rather than his talent that they're willing to give up their team. Especially when this is a move that will probably end up benefiting the program.
I don't know, the whole thing just confuses me.
I worry about Manning as a QB for any team at this point. Neck surgery isn't something you just bounce back from.
I just wanna know if we're actually going to get a decent QB for my poor team - the Redskins.
Ha, yeah, I was tired of "Linsanity," but I would've taken that 10 times over before all of the "where is Manning going" talk.
Right? I was really hoping he'd bow out gracefully and retire. I'm terrified he's going to take an ugly hit.
Maybe you guys will get Tebow!
The Steelers need more RBs. Mike Wallace hasn't resigned yet, Mewelde Moore probably won't get resigned, that makes me nervous.
But it's all better than Brett Favre and his retire, come back, retire......
Definitely. I can get on board with that concern; I mean, it's been less than a year.
Oh God, don't remind me. THAT was some ridiculousness there.
Did he finally go away? It's such a revolving door with that guy I don't know which way to turn.
Tebow has got to better than we had for the last couple of years. And that's the sad truth. I feel bad for the guy getting slammed in a love/hate with/by the media that I haven't really just watched the guy play and decide if he actually has any chops for the sport.
Agree, BUT I just head Manningham went to the 49ers, perhaps hoping Peyton would end up there?? Sad about that...
I told DH that I want a Manning jersey for my birthday. I am really really ridiculously excited that we get Peyton.
I think that he has a few years of great football in him. Heck, Elway won the Superbowl at ages 37 and 38. He had some nasty injuries in the seasons before then as well. I have no emotions about Tebow. He is a classy guy though, I am sure he will take it in stride.
Injuries are one thing. Having your neck fused to your spine is another.
First, let me just say that I live in Donkey territory, however, I'm far from a Donkey fan, obviously.
I think it's really crappy that they are putting Tebow in the position they are currently putting him in. They bring him in last year with all these high expectations and expect him to be the answer to all their prayers. Granted, he is not a great QB, but he has tons of potential and could definitely be a great QB and even started showing that potential at the end of last season.
As much as I love Manning (and was really hoping he'd go to the Dolphins since we can't seem to find a decent QB for the life of us) he is getting football old. And that neck surgery was a pretty serious surgery so I'm not sure that still playing is in his best interest health wise, or worth the risk just to play another couple of years. But his heart is still in the game so he definitely has that going for him and that could possibly help him with respect to his health.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Tebow. As much as I hate having former Donkeys on our team, he can come to Miami and we'll turn him into the QB he has the potential to be since we can't seem to find Marino Jr.
