I was just catching up on your blog and realized you must be around mid-cycle and getting close!  How are you feeling about everything? How is Jon?

Re: *Beth*

  • Hey! Yeah, I'm on CD15 and the ClearBlue Fertility Monitor thing has me in "high" fertility readings, so when i get my first Peak reading, I'll do the IUI the next day (this is my first month with the monitor, so I'm doing internet cheapy OPKs too just in case it fails or something..)

With my wonky sometimes-long-sometimes-short cycles, I O anywhere from CD18 to CD36, so there's really no way to tell when it will be. Hopefully soon though! My best friend actually had an IUI last week, so it would be particularly awesome if they both "took" at the same time.

I'm nervous, but feeling pretty ready. I honestly don't expect it to work the first time, so I'm going into it feeling like this is more for practice :op  But if it does work, that would be great!

Jon seems pretty good..I think he's a little stressed out because we're thinking of putting our house on the market this week too..so there's just a lot going on at once but on the baby-stuff he's pretty consistently seeming fine about things and ready to move on. He's concerned that his mother is not going to be on board with the plan (his parents are coming over tonight for dinner and he's going to tell them then) but their feelings on things aren't going to change our trajectory at all..so we'll see what happens.

Thanks for asking!! How are you feeling??

  • I glad that you are feeling pretty good about things.  It must be an adjustment in your mindset to have such a change of plans  I hope the dinner goes well.  I will be thinking positive thoughts for you!  Let us know how it goes.

I am feeling okay.  Nauseous, but I am not going to complain about that!  I get my numbers drawn again on Friday, so I am looking forward to seeing where they are at.

  • Yeah, it's definitely a HUGE adjustment to make and I think that we're both still sad that the baby won't have Jon's eyes or any of his mannerisms but we're getting used to it. I'm sure it will a life-long thing that will come up every once in a while, but we're dealing with the new reality, embracing it and moving forward!

Woohoo!! Good luck on Friday, I'll be thinking of you!! :o)
