The down side to summer-like weather in March

Summer-like allergies in March!

*sniffles and buries face in Kleenex*

Re: The down side to summer-like weather in March

  • Could you spare a square?  My nose is so itchy.
  • yep, I have had some itchy nose days, too, and I don't even get fazed by pollen and suc most of the time.    It seems to be really bad for us this year!

  • I'm not normally bothered by allergies except briefly at the change of seasons. But even I was feeling it last weekend, I could *not* get my stupid eyes to stop watering and my nose to stop itching! So sorry for your girls with the bad allergies!

  • Liz- I have homeopathic allergy remedies

:: hands Liz some homeopathic pellets ::

I just think this is quite abnormal. March is one of the months I should be pissed about because of all the flip flop weather, the harsh winds and the slushiness of rain and snow combined. This is none of that. It is nice and I am not clothing equipped for it.

  • I hope all the allergy sufferers have quick relief!

I know my husband's allergies have been bad all week. And we found the first tick of the season already...I like the warmer weather and all, but I don't think this bodes well for our summer.

  • my allergies have been out of control!

A couple weeks ago I rubbed my eyes so much that they swelled up and P said I looked stoned.

  • My hubs was a MESS this weekend. Itchy eyes, runny nose.

But my poor puppy has been feeling awful. He has SEVERE allergies (like over a year of allergy injections and crazy medications) and it's just been terrible for him.

We've gotten better at managing them, but then this March came around he's miserable. And you can't explain it to a dog, so you just feel like a terrible dog parent.

awww, poor doggie!   It's probably not strong enough for severe allergies but we do have to give one of our doggies some Children's Benadryl from time to time because she gets allergy wheezing attacks.    It works well for her and is safe, but I can't imagine it would be strong enough for a poor pup who needs actual injections.

  • Erin, we give him bendryl and zyrtec during the "off" months (hot summer, cold winter). But in the spring and fall he is on a prescription antihistamine and Atopica. It's ridiculously expensive, but it works (most of the time). It just sucks because he is so miserable. :(
