Recommend favorite AI resort in Cancun
DH and I are thinking about going to Mexico at the end of May and are looking for suggestions on which all inclusive resort to stay at. TIA.

Our wedding on Wilson Island!
Jells, I like your travel style! Would love to hear your thoughts on Zoetry Paraiso. We stayed at Zoetry Agua in 2010 and weren't that impressed.
Here's what's on my list for a girls' trip this summer and a trip with H in December:
Valentin Imperial Maya
Excellence Playa Mujeres
Secrets Maroma
Live Aqua
Le Blanc
The Royal Cancun (we stayed here once before and loved it)
Zoetry Paraiso
Royal Hideaway

This! Here's a link to the deal: http://www.livingsocial.com/escapes/266612-all-inclusive-cancun-resort-suite?msdc_id=3-nyc-midtown
After getting that in my inbox this morning, I'm working to convince my H that we're in need of another vacation! I haven't been to the Royal, but have heard rave reviews online and from some friends who went there for their honeymoon. We did Excellence Playa Mujeres for our honeymoon and loved it.
The bolded are my two recs (although they're Riveria Maya, if it matters to you). I haven't been to Zoetry Paraiso, but it's owned by the same company as Secrets and one "level" above Secrets resorts. Based on my experience at S. Maroma, I'm sure it's great!

My H and I love the Royal Resorts in Cancun and Playa. They are not AI but are so wonderful. We are going back in May, staying at the Royal Sands for 2 weeks, and taking our 5 year old granddaughter for her first big trip. It is going to be so fun. Anyone have any recommendations on favorite family activiteies?
I actually never have tried an AI but we are planning to try one at some point in the future. We never really have seen the point for a couple reasons: 1) We don't drink. 2) We like to explore and usually spend a good portion of our time away from the resort and that means we would really be paying for meals twice.
The Moon Palace is absolutly beautiful. It's AI and a little away from the main strip of Cancun but close enough to take a bus into town if you want to shop or do other things. They are owned by the Palace Resorts if you want to google it.

Just want to point out that The Royal Cancun and Royal Sands are 2 different resorts. The Royal is a 5 diamond AI and adult-only. The Royal Sands is not AI. My sister actually just got back from a week there with her family and had a great time and said it's really nice, but was very family oriented with kids running around.
