DH is finally having his elbow fixed this morning. He's been whining about pain in his elbow for a really long time and he's finally doing the surgery to fix it. I feel bad for him because he's basically having a nerve relocated into the muscle where it should be. Sounds painful but he wanted to be better by the time baby gets here. Am I a bad wife for just hoping he quits whining so much? I can't be the only one with an H who can't handle pain/sickness.
Re: H is in surgery
I had this surgery. Make sure after those first 2 weeks of no movement that he really works to get full of motion back.
I was given the wrong instructions and told not to move my arm much weeks 2-4. Combine that with the atrophy I had from not really using my arm for 3 months prior to surgery meant that it took 8 weeks of PT for me to be able to straighten my arm and bend it back. Then came working with small amount of weights to I could actually do something useful with my arm again.
