Has anyone done the Insanity DVDs?

I'm thinking of buying them off ebay. They look really good and like something I would enjoy. Has anyone done them? Any success?

If you have done them and have any before/after pics you'd like to show off, please do :).

I'll be in a bathing suit in 2 months and I want to look good (well, better than I do now, anyway).

Re: Has anyone done the Insanity DVDs?

  • Yep. Love them. If you are consistent for two months and eat reasonably well, you should be in pretty good shape.

  • I did insanity last year.  I gained a lot of strength, however I think that it wasn't the best for fat burning for me because I gained a considerable amount of weight, and went up a pants size.

A lot of people have had much better success with it than I have though.

The DVDs were very challanging, and I was drenched in sweat when I was done.

I'm going to be starting a modified version cherry picking the DVDs that I felt gave me the best work out into a routine that includes running and swimming.

  • I started the program back in August 2010.  I had lost 6 lbs in the first four weeks without changing my eating habits at all.  I would have continued onto the second half of the program but I had gotten pregnant and it was way to intense to continue on.

  • I posted this same question a couple days ago.  There is a 20 minute version of this work out for way less money.  I think I'm going to invest in that first before I look at buying the whole set.

  • I just did the first Fit Test (Day 1) today. I really like that they give you something to look back at to track your progress. Even though it isn't meant to be a work out, I still broke a sweat and thought the moves were challenging. I can already feel it in my arms. I'll try to post an update tomorrow or the following day to let you know how the work outs are going.
