What to wear for a Sprint Triathlon?
I know that the answer here might seem obvious, a Tri Suit, but I guess my question is more than that. I am a 36DD right now. I'm in the process of losing weight and at best I'll be a 34D by the time my race rolls around. There is pretty much no way that I can imagine running in anything other than my Enell, but I also can't imagine trying to get into that Medival Torture Device during a short transition. Do I just wear the sports bra the entire time? Do they make a Tri Suit that is super supportive? Help me out, this will be my first ever Sprint Tri and for some reason I am completely overthinking this part.
Ridley Run 3.1 - 4/9/11 - 34:24 - 1st race evah!
Kelly Monaghan's 5K - 5/15/11 - 3rd Place in AG
Walk the Talk 5K - 5/18/11 - 31:12 PR
Ridley Run 3.1 - 4/14/12 - 1st race of the year, 32:45
Re: What to wear for a Sprint Triathlon?
i prefer just wearing a sports bra but I'm in AZ and it gets pretty hot (and I am used to not wearing a shirt).
A few years ago I had a sponsorship that gave me this AWESOME sports bra for tris. It's so supportive, even years later, and very lightweight and dries immediately. I got a new sponsorship hoping they would give me something similar but they gave me a tri top instead. I dunno, I think with especially short races, the less is better as long as you are comfortable with it.
If I find a sports bra like the one I described, I will post a thread and link it. So far, I cant find anything like it.
I'm wearing my Enell as well with lots and lots and lots of body glide. I'm doing two pieces for my tri suit - a top and bottoms so it's easier to go to the bathroom.
I read a thread on beginner triathlete that said if you can't replicate a swim brick workout in your sports bra, take a shower with it on, then go ride or run to see how much water the bra is going to hold and how much body glide you'll need.
