Since I'm a sap.... what is the greatest memory you have of you and your husband? -- Probably when we found out we were going to have Ellie. It was a HUGE surprise. I had been nauseous for like a week and I thought I had the flu, but Guy was suspicious and told me that I needed to POAS. I woke up on a Sunday morning and took the test while he was at work. BAM. Plus sign. I called him and told him over the phone and we were both totally freaked out because we had literally been married for two weeks. But then, later on in the day when he picked me up, we went to the clinic to confirm, and then we were sitting in the car after. And he just looked over at me and a HUGE smile came across his face and he was like THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME. And that's when we decided to let go of our fears and uncertainty and just roll with the punches. And it has been awesome ever since.
What do you like more...Cats or Dogs? -- We have one of each, but I'm a dog person at heart.
Greatest fear??? -- something bad happening to my girl, especially the idea of someone taking her from me. I would go straight up Liam Neeson in Taken on some asses if anyone ever tried to take her.
If you could have your dream vacation... where would it be? -- Wine tour of Italy!
Was there any significant meaning to your wedding date? -- Nah. I just like the weather in September.
What is your all time favorite food or meal? It's almost lunch time and I'm hungry! -- Mexican foooood. I could seriously eat tacos every day of my life.
And last but not least.... since I'm learning the differences btween TN and TB... Do you take offense to my siggy????? Be honest...I won't take offense. -- not in the slightest. there's nothing offensive about it. has anyone ever taken offense to it? if they have, I deem them asshats.

If you could have your dream vacation... where would it be? Traveling through Italy.
Was there any significant meaning to your wedding date? Not really, other than it was Labor Day weekend that year.
What is your all time favorite food or meal? Hot dogs. Seriously, I could eat a hot dog every day.

what is the greatest memory you have of you and your husband? Probably our first vacation together. It's when I really really started to feel in love. Life changing love.
What do you like more...Cats or Dogs? Cats. We have two. I'm an animal lover in general, but would definitely chose cats.
Greatest fear??? I have severe claustrophobia. It worsens in large crowds.
If you could have your dream vacation... where would it be? Greece
Was there any significant meaning to your wedding date? No, we were aiming for June and then October and just ended up landing in September.

Since I'm a sap.... what is the greatest memory you have of you and your husband? Our first date. He took me canoeing (I have a huge fear of water and totally lied to him because I didnt want him to think I was a loser. I kept my eyes closed the entire time). Then we set up a picnic with a fire and a blanket and wine on this island. We talked for 8 hours.
What do you like more...Cats or Dogs? dogs all the way.
Greatest fear??? losing my husband/nana/parents. i realize this will happen some day, but i will be DEVASTATED. and i constantly worry that it will be too soon.
If you could have your dream vacation... where would it be? We would love to go to Australia some day.
Was there any significant meaning to your wedding date? nope. we got engaged in May and Andy was like... how about August, and I was like how about September? And my dad was only able to get that Saturday in September off, which obviously was important.
What is your all time favorite food or meal? It's almost lunch time and I'm hungry! Anything with pasta for an entree. A delicious antipasta plate for appetizer. Moscato wine for drinking. And creme brulee.

TBH, I don't think anyone on this board is going to find that offensive because we have several Niners who have had losses and difficulties and I don't think anyone here has taken offense or not wanted to listen and lend an ear. Nooner, Ortiz (you havent met her yet), and myself are soooo BNOTB, but I cant imagine any of us would ever be offended by your sig.
Since I'm a sap.... what is the greatest memory you have of you and your husband? There are so many. Probably him tearing up while I was walking down the aisle on our wedding day.

Was there any significant meaning to your wedding date? We got married on 9/5/09. We started dating and got engaged on the 5th of January, so we wanted to make sure we were married on the 5th too. But having a Jan wedding in WI would suck, so we chose Sept.
What is your all time favorite food or meal? It's almost lunch time and I'm hungry! Angel hair pasta in alfredo sauce with mushrooms, chicken and broccoli mixed in.

What is the greatest memory you have of you and your husband? ~ Probably when he proposed. The whole thing was so perfect and he was such a nervous mess the whole weekend. It was funny. It was just a great time.
What do you like more...Cats or Dogs? ~ We don't have any pets and I've never owned a pet really, but I'd go with dogs.
Greatest fear? ~ Something awful happening to Jon or my sister.
If you could have your dream vacation... where would it be? ~ Australia
Was there any significant meaning to your wedding date? ~ Nope, we decided not to pick a date at all. We decided that we'd find a place that we loved and then see what they had available from August to October and decide from there. We just got lucky.

What is your all time favorite food or meal? It's almost lunch time and I'm hungry! A buttery cheeseburger with pickles and broccoli cheese poppers. I'm easy to please when it comes to food. Nooners chocolate chip cookies rock my face off too, so those are at the top of my list.

What is the greatest memory you have of you and your husband? The night we hooked up. It was his 26th birthday, and although we'd met each other a few times before and thought each other was cute, we were both with other people. So, when he found out I was newly single, he pulled out all the stops, and went through great lengths to woo me, which included searching through his bathroom to find a fresh toothbrush. We stayed up until 3 or 4, talking about anime and video games until we fell asleep (yes thats right, nothing sexy happened). I still smile and blush like a little school girl when I think of that night, because it was so sweet and fun.
What do you like more...Cats or Dogs? Cats, but I do kind of want to get a dog
Greatest fear??? Absolutely the zombie apocalypse. I used to think it would be terrifyingly awesome, but the more I think about it (especially with my daughter) I think it would just be terrifying. Also, not finding a job before losing mine...that is probably a more imminent fear.
If you could have your dream vacation... where would it be? Pompeii. I'm a huge history buff, so couple my knowledge of Mt.Vesuvius with my love for ancient lore (see my daughter's name) I think spending a few days there would be fascinating overload for me.
Was there any significant meaning to your wedding date? Not so much September, although it appears that the month is mystically tied to us anyway. 27 is my H's fav number and he loved the idea that the first day we woke up being husband and wife would be the 27th, so, Sept. 26 it was. Also, the moon was waxing which was my only date stipulation.
What is your all time favorite food or meal? Potstickers. sigh. Have a potsticker for me.

we wanted the fall since H is an acceptant and most of winter/ spring is consumed with taxes. The dates for the reception hall and the church matched so we took it, later we realized we liked the 9-19-09.

Since I'm a sap.... what is the greatest memory you have of you and your husband? The day we met. I wanted nothing to do with him and did my best to avoid him. After his persistent nagging, my former roommate and I decided to talk with him and his friend. After the first 10 minutes, he told me flat out that he was going to marry me. I thought he was crazy....but obviously he was right,
What do you like more...Cats or Dogs? I have a soft spot for cats and have 2 of them... but I am waiting patiently to get a dog. An english bulldog to be exact.
Greatest fear??? Losing my husband... and spiders.

Was there any significant meaning to your wedding date? Brett proposed to me on 9/6/08 and we officially became "exclusive" on 9/6/07.... It was just plain old luck that 9/6/09 was open at the church and our banquet hall.

How nervous he was when we first started talking in the class where we met. It's totally uncharacteristic of him now that I know him, so I think its really cute!

Was there any significant meaning to your wedding date?
Not really, J wanted our engagement to be around 6 moths (he considered that a long engagement) and since we were engaged in March, 6 moths brought us to September. I pulled up the farmers almanac online and started checking the weather on dates in September going back 10 years. (/26 was the first I checked...and for 10 years it was sunny and warm on that day, so I stopped there.

Was there any significant meaning to your wedding date? we married on 9-11-09 - most people didnt want the date, but we wanted a good memory to add. This year was rough celebrating on the 10th anniversary- lots of sadness but we made it a good one anyway

it's kind of a dual memory; after my college graduation he came and gave me the biggest hug and told me he was so proud of me and all of my hard work (5 days later we were engaged)...fast forward 3 years to the day I graduated from law school. Similar scenario; we're in the car driving to my celebratory dinner and he tells me again how proud is of me and my hard work and I looked over at him and told him that I was proud of us because it wouldn't have happened without him. It was such a solidifying moment and at that point all of my concerns about the future and any pre-wedding jitters I was having just disappeared.

Our dating anniversary was September 17 and if that had been a Saturday we likely would have gotten married then; so, we picked the Saturday closest to our dating anniversary 09/19/09.

The Nest has been really annoying me for 2 days, always giving me errors or being slow. So I never had a chance to intro myself! Welcome to the board newbs, I'm Kathryn, we got married on 9/26/09 and are now expecting our first baby in October. I'm SO sorry for your losses, I can't imagine going through that.
My internet connection has been a prick lately and with working 2 twelve hour days, I finally got around to this.
What is the greatest memory you have of you and your husband? As a fellow sap, I would have to say our wedding day. It was an awesome party and the ceremony was beautiful. We had a great time and we even had some time to be on our own and just digest it all. He just makes me smile.What do you like more...Cats or Dogs? Dogs. 100% dogs. I have severe self-esteem issues and need the constant love and attention from my boys. Buddy is the pug mix and Benny is the beagle.
Greatest fear??? This is a hard one for me. I have PTSD so I am anxious about almost everything, so I'm not too sure what is a true fear and what is just my nerves beings stupid. I guess I would have to say suffocating. I don't like the feeling of not being able to breathe. That's the worst part of a panic attack and I'm sure that's a true fear.

Was there any significant meaning to your wedding date? Not a significant meaning, but a meaning. Christmas is in December, H's bday is in March, mine in June. And 5 is Danny's favorite number. We happened to luck out that Sep 5 was a Saturday that year.

TBH, I don't usually read the words in people's siggys. But I read yours (y'know, sizing you up and all) and just felt sad. There's nothing in your siggy that's offensive.
