Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Clicky GTG Poll
I think the consensus is that if we go a bit further out, we can all plan better and save some cash. So, how do we feel about Spring 2013?
The other question is location. I like the idea of doing something west since we've done midwest and east. I think CA is a pretty well received idea. Either San Francisco, Napa, or San Diego?

I'm hoping that by doing this now more people will be able to make it, but I certainly understand if people can't. If we keep moving around, I'm sure we will all eventually get to meet, right?

SFO can experience lots of fog so OAK might be an option to fly into and it can be cheaper. SJC is another option, however, it is an hour away from SF (and near where I live)
Andrea and I can coordinate with pick ups at the various airports

Yeah, if DH gets back to traveling a ton, I may be able to swing it at some point but all our travel ends up being to visit family

2012 Reading Challenge
If K stays at his current job and gets his travel budget back, he'll hopefully go to the RSA conference in San Franscisco next spring (Feb 25-March 1st)...he was supposed to go this year but they cut his budget and only his boss got to go. boo.
Anyway, if he goes, Ada and I will likely go too if airfare is cheap enough...so I'm a maybe...otherwise, the only way we could go is if we make a family trip out of it. We do have friends and family out there so it's not totally out of the question.
As an aside, there's been some talk of actually moving there, Ken's old boss is recruiting him pretty hard core.
