Spill it, who is going to Hunger Games tomorrow?
If I can snag tickets tomorrow morning me and a friend will be going to the midnight showing. Before that I will try to find a district 12 shirt lol.
Anyone else?

I changed my name
While this is one of the few movies I'm actually excited to see, I probably won't go anytime soon. I loathe crowds at theaters. And, actually, my recent theater experiences have sucked so much in general, I'll probably wait to rent at home.
Now, get off my lawn, kids. (No, really, theaters are too loud these days)
Word.

That sounds so yummy!
So... what time should I be there?
I don't know when I'm going to see it yet, but I'll probably just end up going myself so I don't have to try and find someone to go with me. I might just wait til like Monday and go during the day.

I might go on my Tuesday (my birthday) since my MIL will be in town to watch the girls and a majority of our move will be over with...
but it will likely be by myself. Womp womp.
Here's my response to an earlier thread about Madge. I still think they should have kept her in, but the writers and producers didn't ask me...
I think they condensed the beginning and simplified it by taking Madge out. She wasn't particularly important in any of the books, I don't think it will make a big difference who Katniss gets the mockingjay pin from.
I mean, I think of the minor characters she's fairly important as is the significance of the pin and where it came from. I mean, Madge is like Katniss' only friend outside gale (before the games and peeta) and she goes to see her off to the games, plus they maintain that relationship in the next book. Katniss was at Madge's house when she overheard about the revolts and used the excuse she was looking for Madge. Plus, her aunt was in the games with Haymitch, and his remorse over her is a piece of why he's an alcoholic (as well as all the other kids who died that he mentored). I think Madge and in turn her aunt (who owned the pin) giving historical context to the pin and the overall symbolism of the mockingjay. I'm sure they'll have some other story, but by changing how she got the pin they are changing several key parts to the plot, IMO.
**cough** not that I'm over-analyzing fictional story lines or anything **cough**

Thank you for speaking my thoughts Jilly! I was so disappointed when I heard they took Madge out. She is very important however how small her roll was.
Yeah, I don't think that changes the plot at all. Haymitch can still be a drunk without madge's aunt. Watching kids die will probably do that to you. They can even throw in the female tribute of his year without specifically having Madge.
And there could easily be another history to the pin that's equally old and meaningful, especially with it now being a family piece.
