Compression: socks v. sleeves
As I mentioned yesterday, I was diagnosed with a calf strain (its right along the posterior tibial tendon area.) My PT said I could try an easy run maybe this weekend, just depending on how it feels. He said I should wear a sleeve (he recommended biosilk) but didn't need the "whole sock." So my questions are: what are the difference between sock/sleeve (besides the obvious) do people usually run in sleeves and socks are for recovery? I'm thinking I'd love the swaggle deal on socks, because I cannot find sleeves for a comprable price, but if there is a difference, really, I'd rather get whats best. Anyone have input? If I should go sleeve, anyone have a favorite brand? Should I just wear one, or throw in another (I can order one sleeve at a time....) I have previously had shin splints/soft tissue issues on the other leg....

Re: Compression: socks v. sleeves
I agree with HiC. I don't think there's anything really different between the two. Some brands make racing socks or sleeves as well as recovery socks or sleeves. I believe most compression gear is for recovery, but people often run in recovery compression gear with no problems.
I also love zensah sleeves and prefer sleeves over socks because they are cooler and I don't feel I need to wash them after every wearing
