Need weekend trip packing help!

we are going to see some friends this weekend and i need some packing help.

 itenerary:

thursday night arrive and grill out at the house (I dont think a change of clothes is necessary here)

Friday - girls shopping = alot of walking

saturday - hang out at their gorgeous house, maybe play outside with their kids

saturday night  - dinner at a nice steakhouse

sunday - travel home.

 

i am mainly having trouble with the "hang around the house" outfit - weird huh? suggestions on any of it ?

 

temps will be frim low 80? to mid 50?'s at night

  • If it's going to be in the low 80s during the day, I'd say a cute, comfy, sundress and some pretty sandals or wedges will work for hanging around the house.

    my friends would ask me what I was dressing up for if I wore a dress, even a casual sundress, to "hang around the house." a cute tee or blouse with jeans and flats or flipflops will be fine, especially if kids are involved.

  • I agree with Pooh, jeans and a tee with flats/flipflops. We just went to DH aunts and I wore skinnies with a tee, scarf and sperry angelfish, well slippers since they are a no-shoes in the house kind of family.

  • I would do a super causal dress with flipflops or shorts and tee -- basically what I would wear any Saturday.  But, I rarely see 80 degree weather, so am always looking for excuses to wear my dresses and I find them to be more comfortable than jeans/shorts.
