Hi Everyone! My family and I are planning a trip to Disney in December and are trying to determine where to stay. We are a group of 6 (4 adults, 1 5 year old and 1 2 year old) and we want to stay in one room/suite. We don't mind sharing space, but are hoping it wouldn't be too uncomfortable (i.e. I don't want to climb over tons of stuff to move around).
I would love to stay somewhere that is at least somewhat conveniently located to decent transportation, somewhere family-oriented (not one of the hotels that gets filled with high school group) and somewhere with some non-pool amenities in it's too cold to swim. Also, we are definitely staying on-site. I would love any recommendations! Thanks ![]()
Re: Disney for 6 people in 1 room
We're going in October/November and are staying in the Treehouse Villas at Saratoga Springs. Each one is an independent condo, of sorts, with three bedrooms (two with queens, one with bunk beds), two bathrooms, a living room, dining area, and a kitchen, as well as washer/dryer. In addition, there's apparently a nice outdoor space. Friends of ours stay in the Treehouses quite frequently and rave about them.
We're going with family and will have 6 people in each of two Villas. We're looking forward to being able to make some meals at the Villas rather than eating out all the time, having living space so that we don't all have to go to bed at the same time, and bedrooms for everyone so that no one's sleeping in the living room.
There is an option to get a second connected room at the Dolphin or Swan for a discounted $119 rate.

use a Disney Vacation Club member's points to get a great rate on a 1 or 2 bedroom villa at places like animal kingdom lodge, wilderness lodge, contemporary resort bay lake tower, etc.

we've used them before and were very happy with the service. you get an official DVC reservation email and everything.
It might be different with kids, but we determined it was about the same/cheaper to get 3 rooms instead of a 2bd condo, since we'll have 5 adults.
Depending on when you're going, they're also opening a new resort in the fall that is suites/villas as well.
