Re: Good News Wednesday!

  • It is spring! We have had some lovely blue skies and warmish weather. I survived my first gyno appt in France, and really liked the doctor (go figure, she was American). I'm meeting a friend to go see Hunger Games tonight :) I hope it is good! I haven't read the books, but I've heard it is a good story
  • Two months from now I will be laying by a pool with a drink in my hand, the sun on my face and a hot man by my side.

  • I came across a 70% off coupon to have the new apartment painted YAAAAY! Moving day is getting closer.

  • A week from today I fly back to America to get married:-)

  • Our GP has finally agreed to start infertility testing. I know, that sounds like terrible news but I actually feel fantastic that we're finally being a bit proactive about all this!

And for something more cheerful... I did the best ever treadmill jog last night at the gym, I'm finally starting to feel better :-)

  • That?s great news, Pitt!! I hope you all finally get some answers.

The weather is so nice for March, and I?ve gotten to do a little work in the yard. Not enough, but a start. I?m hoping to do more tomorrow.

    Congrats to you too!

  • Congrats, Pitt! That is good news.

Mine is that DH and I are doing a date night tonight--private viewing of two London exhibits at an art museum (through my work, but not a work event). I'm looking forward to it. DH in general has been a bit more active recently and it's awesome for me; I hate frittering away weekends on the couch!

I'm going to the States tomorrow for 2 months. I have to have surgery while I'm there, but, eh, 2 months at home in the spring. yay.

Oh gosh! That came up fast! Best Wishes!

The weather has been 75-85 degrees for the last week. Loving it! I have Yoga tonight. Really happy about that.

  • Congrats Avion!!

Its Thursday here now, but it was a great Wednesday - I booked flight for me & G to go to the states in June - can not WAIT and we had our first swimming lesson in over a year and she LOVED it - a great day :)

  • I went to my butcher today and he said he was going to get lamb! I know that might sound completely wrong and gross if you're not much of a meat eater, but I really like it, I haven't had lamb in forever and it's nice to change from the usual meats. And we got to talking and he said he could also get me some duck and rabbit! I'm quite excited :D

  • My cousin's wife gave birth to their first child tonight, a girl, 8 pounds 1 ounce, 21 1/2 inches long.  Everyone is doing well, and the new Dad is reported to be "over the moon in love."

  • Pitt: I'm so sorry, I'm traveling this week and have ridiculously slow internet, so I posted my own good news and then read through everyone else's like 20 minutes later when mine finally posted. Now I feel like an insensitive jerk for posting my pregnancy announcement in the same thread as you discussing starting infertility treatments (even though I'm happy for you that your doctor has agreed to start the testing and hopefully get you some good-news answers). Anyway, I'm sorry if it came across as really insensitive - I didn't mean it that way. :-/
