Frankfurt / Heidelberg / Mainz
I will be staying in Frankfurt for a couple days and am wondering what there is to do. Should I go to Heidelberg or Mainz instead? What is there to do there?

I haven't been to Mainz, but I adored Heidelberg. There's a pretty cool castle with sweeping views over the city and river valley, boat trips down the River Nektar, a really pretty Aldstadt (old city) with cobblestone, pedestrian streets through a market, lots of cute shops, and pretty buildings. There's also some walks along the river that we really enjoyed. People were extremely nice, food was affordable and delicious, and we really loved our time there.
We drove there from Frankfurt, which was really easy, and also did a day trip to Baden Baden.
