I'm intrigued by bb creams and would love to try one, but I'm picky about what it needs to do. I want at least an SPF of 30, have choices for shades (I'm quite pale and limited shades usually means it's too dark) and it needs to have antioxidants. It also needs to have enough coverage to even my skin tone so I can skip foundation.
The 3 Lab Perfect BB is the only BB I'm aware of that meets these criteria (although after googling, it looks like the Estee Lauder BB may as well, but I'm not sure if it has different shade options).
I have a $25 coupon from my Glam Bag for Dermstore, so I could try the 3 Lab BB cream for $70. IDK, that still seems insane. It would need to be pretty amazing for me to not regret my purchase, and to purchase again at full price.
Does anyone know of a more reasonably priced BB that fits what I'm looking for? I don't see reviews of the 3 Lab BB on MUA. Has anyone tried it, and is it worth the insane price?
Re: 3 lab bb cream - for $95?? Other options?
It's too bad the review of the Garnier BB cream was on someone who it caused break outs on. I have to wonder where she wasn't used to wearing liquid makeup if maybe she wasn't washing it off well enough at night.
I have pretty acne prone skin and I've been using it for a few days and I really like it and I've actually had fewer break outs than I normally would, especially around this time of the month.
I've been using the Smashbox BB cream for a while and I really like it. It has a decent amount of coverage and has a higher SPF.
This morning I used the Garnier BB cream for the first time. I like it. It has a different texture than the Smashbox...it's a lot more fluid and doesn't have as heavy of coverage as the Smashbox, but it's enough for me. It did make my face look shiny after I applied it, so I set it with Tarte powder and it still looks good. I can't even tell that I have it on. It looks totally natural yet evens out my skin. My face doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything either. The SPF though is only 15 from what I remember.
This was helpful! Thanks!
Garnier has antioxidants but is only SPF 15, and Smashbox has great SPF but does not claim to have antioxidants. Hopefully the Clinique works for me!
I actually have been using a Physician's Formula TM that I LOVE that has great coverage, SPF 50, and antioxidants, but the lightest shade looks orange on me
I've been using it daily and just blending well and using a light colored powder on top, but I really need a lighter shade. I really wish they made the PF product in a lighter shade because it's awesome.
