Box jumps - Thanks hikerbeth.
At least I think it was hikerbeth that posted the tip of always stepping down from the box instead of jumping.
This mornings WOD was much more pleasant because of this.

I tell you, it's the perfect pacing technique!
I like jumping down because I can go faster, but then I get more fatigued and then am more likely to "fall." Yesterday when we were doing AMRAP (10min) of 20 box jumps and 20 russian twists, I almost fell a couple of times during the last round. Once I stepped off the box instead of jumping, I had much more control over it.
Exactly, if speed is of the essence, jump!! But if it's a longer AMRAP I would rather step down for "working recovery" than to have to stop completely to rest.
