I'm redoing our bedroom over spring break. I'm painting, refinishing the dresser and would like to add some things to the horribly bear walls. I've narrowed it down to two colors.
Valspar Gravity or
Olympic Thin Ice.
Here's what it looks like on the wall...
I think I'm leaning towards the Gravity, thin ice is too light. I also think that I should paint the closet doors white, but DH thinks I'm crazy. Am I crazy?
Here is what our bedroom looks like now. I'm not changing any of the bedding or curtains (DH is a night shifter and need the blackout curtains for sleeping in the day)
I'll also be refinishing my dresser, I'm thinking white to match the closet doors. With some fun nobs, that I have yet to find.I think it will look fresh and clean
Here's the dresser now
What do you ladies think? I'm new at this so let me know if my idea sounds bad.
I also REALLY love this wall hanging for above our bed with either the rainbow "dream" or "love" in white, black and shades of grey. What do you think?
{edit cause pictures didn't show up}
Re: Bedroom help (PIP)
Just based on the pictures, I'd lean towards Gravity as well. The other one just looks TOO white. But in my house there isn't a single room that doesn't have a Skittles colored paint job, lol.
I love that wall hanging. I think the rainbow would be a really nice pop of color against a neutral wall color.
In the picture it looks like the dresser is already white, do you mean just freshening it up? I love decorative knobs! That would be super cute.
I love brightly painted rooms but DH not so much, so we have to come to a compromise
Neutrals with pops of color. I love the colors is your house, there so happy!
Yes, is really old and grungy. I got it from a neighbor when I moved out of my parents home. It needed redone then. I'm going to strip it and paint it a bright white.
Aw thanks! My DH prefers neutrals too. His dad is the dominant one in his parent's relationship, and he wants all white walls with off-white carpet, so that is what DH was used to. I picked out all the colors for our house, DH didn't *like* them per-say, but he ok'd them all. I think they've grown on him now, plus I make all the decor work, not just some random color on the walls with nothing matching.
Good luck with stripping the dresser. That is not something I ever ever want to do. I didn't even strip our cabinet doors to paint them, just sanded a little (barely) and painted over, lol.

Bahahaha! Thats funny, it didn't even cross my mind that it could be interpreted that way. I wonder what I could have PIP'ed?
HAHAHA!! I didn't think about that either. I'm pretty sure anything you could have PIP'd would be extremely awkward, lol
