Happy Hunger Games Day
So I got up early this morning to try and score some tickets. And I got lucky! I will be going to a showing at 12:09am. I am super excited!
My friend and I will be going to a hiabatci(sp) grill, then to the mall to see if I can find any type of shirt, then off to the movies!
This is the first time since Dec. that I get to do something just for me lol.

I'm so ready to go see it this evening. I'm semi-annoyed that it'll be spread out over 4 movies but I understand why. It will get expensive going to each movie though.
It's going to be so sad as all of the deaths occur. I'm interested to see how the movie will work without Madge though. And Rue...ugh, I can't imagine how that scene will play out.
I just got done reading this part. My mouth literally dropped open. Good thing we don't see patients until later this afternoon!! haha

Eh, I didn't think Madge played that big of a role. I do want to read the book again since it's been a while, but I don't remember her being that big of a deal that it would make a difference without her.
I don't even remember who Madge is..I plan to let the hype die down and take myself to see if next weekend while H is studying or something.
Oh I wiki'd Madge, I can't see that being a game changer. Pardon the pun.
I thought that too. Also she plays a somewhat larger role in the second book that is somewhat key so I think it will be weird if they have to bring her back for that since they didn't use her in the first one.
I don't think the absence of Madge makes a bit of difference. She really was a bit character. The only tidbit that helps the story is that it's likely the mayor was a mockingjay supporter, but that's not a necessary element.
I read one review that (spoiler)
said the monsters with all the dead kids faces aren't in the movie. He was upset about that b/c he thought it was one of the most powerful parts of the book. So, things like that I can see not affecting the plot but having an impact on emotion.
Madge, not so much.
Ditto Beach. Madge didn't have that big of a part in the 1st book. I'm not upset that she won't be in the movie. Moviegoers who haven't read the series won't really miss a thing.
I promised H I will wait for him to get back from his underway before going to see Hunger Games, but this is so difficult!!!

Katniss gives the pin to Prim before the reaping to protect her from getting picked. But then she does get picked. And Prim gives it back to Katniss.
I told someone this at work and they're like, "But why give it back? It doesn't work."
So basically, Prim gives Katniss a bad luck charm, lol!

The AMC here is so cheap btw it's only $5 on weekdays and $5 on weekends before noon. We rarely pay $11 pp to see movies now! Oh and I'm back from Jersey, we can hang out again!

What did you all think? I really wish they would make a movie that's based on a back and have all the same lines and everything.
I kept telling people at work, Happy Hunger Games!!! And they looked at me like I was totally out of my mind.
LOVE the book, was so-so on the movie. I thought it was kind of slow and sort of irritated so many moments that I loved in the book were omitted in the movie. Though I think I figured out my new SN! lol..
I agree. I was so happy though that they left the part with Katniss putting the flowers around Rue's body.
