Question about what Trainer said
A trainer at my gym I'm suppose to see on Monday said that if my Heart rate is over 140 that I'm burning muscle instead of fat. Other people have said this is false. I don't really want to be told a bunch of bull and to work out incorrectly. Thoughts? TIA

Re: Question about what Trainer said
Your trainer has no way of knowing what substrate (carb, fat or protein) you are utilizing at a given heart rate unless he's training you in lab and has you breathing into a mask, testing your respiratory exchange ratio.
Just work out to a moderate to heavy intensity, going by how you feel, and you're good.
