Curly/Wavy hair girls

What shampoo do you use?   I need recommendations for ones that enhance my waves for days that I wear it naturally.

thanks!

Re: Curly/Wavy hair girls

  • the days I wear it curly, I actually don't shampoo at all. I just scrub the scalp with my fingertips and rinse with water, then use conditioner.

  • Have you used Bumble and Bumble curl conscious line?  I used the samples in my order once and really like them for enhancing the curls without frizz. Although I found the conditioner a little too heavy/greasy feeling for my taste, but I guess that's how the frizz is tamed.
  • have yoy been to naturallycurly.com? it is chalk full of info for our hair type. I use DEVA products, but you can get get cheaper stuff ...the key is sulfate and silicone free.

Tresemme Naturals is a good line, but the shampoo is not totally sulfate free. It may be a good way to start off and then go totally sulfate free

  • I use the Loreal Ever Pure brand

  • I find that the shampoo doesn't matter but the styling product you use does.  I am a fan of TIGI Curls Rock.
  • I use Aussie moist shampoo and conditioner, but when I want my hair curly, I skip both and use a moisturizing mask I got from the salon.  It makes my hair super soft without weighing it down.
  • DEVA is very good.

Tried the Ouidad line, was disappointed.

    Now use WEN, love!!!

  • Rarely shampoo, but when I do I have been using John Freida repairing/smoothing something like that.  It is cheapo and gentle and good.

  • I use Pureology, and alternate days with Hair One, the Sally's Beauty Supply version of Wen cleansing conditioner. I also use the Curls Rock styling products.

  • Jessicurl's Gentle Lather Shampoo with any rich conditioner. I use Aveda Phomollient Styling Foam, and then depending on how defined I want my waves/curls I use Jessicurl Gelebration Spray (more defined) or Aveda's Be Curly Curl Enhancer (less defined).
