Do you notice a difference in salon conditioners?

versus drugstore?  I use pureology shampoo which works great on my hair and I do notice a different than with other shampoos.  I' wondering if there are some drugstore conditioners worth trying?

Re: Do you notice a difference in salon conditioners?

  • It depends, and what's good for you may not be good for someone else.  But I do find that the more expensive conditioners I use (Fekkai for example) are way more concentrated and less runny/watered down than cheaper brands I've tried (Pantene; John Frieda) so I use way less.  I think that makes up a big part of the price difference.

the bolded part exactly. I buy my expensive stuff less often because I don't need as much of it to get soft moisturized hair. fwiw, I rotate between Paul Mitchell, Bed Head, and Biolage brands.

  • I spent gazillions on conditioners and deep treatment conditioners for years.  Two years ago I got talked into buying suave naturals coconut condish and now I only buy various brands of drugstore conditioners because they didn't make that big of a difference for me.  I wish I had all the hundreds of dollars back from buying $25 conditioners for the last decade.
