Happy Friday!

Good morning, ladies!  Happy Friday!  What do you have planned for today and the weekend?

I'm working today as usual.  T is home so he can clean the house and get our taxes done.  Tonight we're going out to dinner with his family again (but yay for free dinner).  Tomorrow his youngest sister is getting married.  I'm very excited for it.  Sunday will be recovery day I'm sure.

Re: Happy Friday!

  • I rolled up to work early and ready to tackle a project so we could wrap it up today--turns out my coworker didnt do the necessary prep last night soooo I'm sort of hanging out and reworking my day.....annoying for sure, but I don't get paid to make it my problem.

Drinks with friends tonight AND saturday, which is very unusual for us! I'm looking forward to it!

  • Good morning!  I have to work today, which  I forgot about as I usually do.  My days are so screwed up not working full time and with H not home, so I have a hard time remembering that it's Friday and that I need to work.  Luckily all I have to do is a forward phone calls so it's not a problem.

I don't really have any plans for the weekend.  I registered us with a church here a couple weekends ago and joined a coed softball team that they have, so we are practicing on Sunday.  And I want to go see Hunger Games at some point, but I might wait until a Monday matinee so it won't be too busy.  I've never gone to a movie by myself before though so this will be interesting.

No one will even know you're by yourself.  The only downside is you won't have someone to talk about the movie right afterwards.  I'm sure there are a bunch of ladies on here though that will gladly discuss it with you.

  • I've decided that today is my last day at work; so I need to wrap up my one project that likes to hang around and pass it on to a co-worker to complete while I'm out. Still feeling in complete denial that this is happening.

This weekend will probably be mostly uneventful since the weather is suppose to be crap. Today is going to be gorgeous - of course - and I'll be stuck indoors watching from my office window. ::::sigh::::

Tomorrow morning, K and I are meeting with L's GS leaders; not looking forward to it. Apparently she has been acting up in meetings - and I'm kind of more than just a little pissed that they waited so long to tell us. Depending on how the meeting goes tomorrow is really going to be the deciding factor on whether or not I decide to remove L from the troop and place her with another troop next year. I've put up with a lot of BS from this troop and I'm over it.

After that; nada planned for the weekend.

  • Happy Friday, indeed! I just finished baking cookies and making Chex Mix for our drive to Florida today. I've got the last load of laundry in the dryer and need to pack up the car and then we are out of here!

I'm so excited to lay on the beach for a few days, have a few cocktails, and hang out with my family! It's been a rough start to the year and I think it's a well needed vacation for all of us.

It's really NBD. I went to the movies solo last Saturday (John Carter); would've been fun to have someone to discourse with afterwards but other than that it was nice to just watch the movie in peace.

AHH!  5 days!!!  I'm glad today is your last day...hopefully you get some R & R before the big event.  Is your doctor still talking about induction because you're "sooooo old"?

That stinks about the GS troop...I know you've had issues with them in the past.

So many people have told me they go to movies alone all the time.  Unless Kara (from MB who posts here sometimes too) wants to go before her H gets home then I really have no choice if I want to see it.  This is one movie that I refuse to wait for DVD.

LMBO - yes, he is still wanting to induce. I don't think I mind the idea of being induced; I was mostly concerned with the increased risk of c/s. He really doesn't think that will happen since this isn't my first time around the block (my words there). Next appt. is Tuesday morning.

The GS troop has just been one big ball of drama llamas. I'm sorry to say that little girls start the meanie headedness at an early early age. And the Queen Bee Mamas don't help.

  • Heading to work soon. I keep staying up late reading and hating myself for it in the morning. Hopefully today will go by fast. It's been a shittastic week and I need the weekend.

A friend got engaged last night so we're probably going to go out and celebrate that.

Happy Friday!  It's my birthday today, but since it's also the last day of a grading period (and since I stupidly made today the deadline for a research paper) I'm at work. H and I are supposed to see Hunger Games tomorrow, but our sitter may need to back out, so those plans are still in flux. No other weekend plans save for some heavy duty studying.

  • Good morning! I'm at work like always. I got an email yesterday saying I need to use all my comp time by the end of April so I'm thinking I might work through lunch (I have a meeting a lunch anyway) and just leave early. I'm a little irritated about the comp time. I've been coming in and staying late to build up my comp time for when I'm on maternity leave, but no one told me I had to use it by the end of April. So I have to start all over again in May. If I had known I had to use it all by the end of April, I would've waited to start working my extended schedule until May.

We have no plans for the weekend. I thought I was going to have an appointment with a potential flower place for the wedding, but we changed it to next weekend. Maybe I'll clean house and work on purging the baby's room more.

  • I'm working today. I'm hoping coworker's mood is better today, she keeps getting hung up on stupid things that she thinks I need to to be doing which are far less important that what I am doing. Its driving me nuts. I mean I love her like she is my second mom but she is making me crazy.

E is taking me to see The Hunger Games tonight so I'm super excited. Tomorrow we are cleaning cleaning cleaning to get ready for hosting Easter at our house and then going to dinner with my Dad and his GF for my birthday, which was last week. Other than we will just be cleaning and hanging out with the doggies.

  • Happy Birthday, NSL!!! I hope that it is great.

My friday is the usual. Get homework done, job search and write. :)  I want to go see the Hunger Games, but I think that DH wants to go with me. Why, I have no idea, since he hasn't read the books. It's kind of frustrating. I would rather go alone than have him tag along, especially since he has absolutely no desire to read HG. There is a different level of anticipation when you read beforehand, it kind of ruins the experience when you bring someone who doesn't understand that.

  • Happy birthday, NSL!

Today I am doing a little grocery shopping and clothes shopping. I am in dire need of some warm weather clothing that fits. We haven't lived somewhere that got above 80 degrees since 2009, and when we moved in August I was gargantuan and wore what little maternity stuff I had. I found a pair of capris and a khaki skirt that fit, glory hallelujah, in a box of clothes my mom brought me from college. Oh and I need to buy a swimsuit that covers the carnage. Great.

Full piece bathing suits are all the rage right now.  You'll be able to find something that's cute and reasonably priced.

  • My parents are flying into town tonight!  Yay!

Unfortunately, they're on their way home from a cousin's wedding in Ireland (last weekend - they stuck around to visit with other relatives...  Dad is from Ireland, and doesn't get to see his family often).  I suspect they'll be pretty jetlagged, especially as they won't be landing here until nearly 11pm tonight.

But, we'll have the weekend with them before they drive the rest of the way to where they live.  :)  We have no clue what we'll be doing with them - with the jetlag potential they might not be up to much.  We do hope to take them out to our favourite Thai restaurant near here, though...

  • Last day of spring break...boo!

I'm grading papers from one of my online courses that ended last week because I've been putting it off all week.  Really anxious to get to it if you can't tell.Stick out tongue

Tomorrow we're thinking about heading out for a family day in Tucson and then getting ready to get back to it on Sunday.

  • H is stuck on the ship all weekend. I have a groupon for sushi so I might call up a friend and use that tonight. Working and babysitting tomorrow. Hopefully I can just chill on Sunday.

  • Since they are doing exercises on base we got a couple of days off, but DH has duty today so it's just me and DD cleaning house and going to MT. Trashmore for a run.

Tomorrow DH is spending the day with DD so I'm thinking of going to the movies by myself I can't remember the last time I saw a movie at the theater I want to see 21 jump street. Sunday were going to probably just do something as a family.

  • Happy BDay NSL!

I volunteer tomorrow, then dinner and HG with KC and one of H's boss's wives (who I really like and don't think of that way, lol), even though KC has already seen it, the rascal.

    Today is a great day!

I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.
