Chick wants to join BNOTB. She has 2 lines in her sig that refer to the fact that she lost 2 babies, one fairly recently.
First response to her request to "join" the board states that she will only be "accepted" if she takes the 2 lines out of her sig because she doesn't want to be reminded of "dead babies"

If it's what I'm thinking...
A girl introduced herself to BNOTB. Her siggy includes 2 losses of her sons both at 20 weeks pg. Her introduction said she and her DH were not planning on TTC anymore after the losses were so hard on them and that she wanted a forum that didn't include any talk of babies. Her last loss was less than two months ago where they had to have services for the baby and everything. I tear up now thinking about it...
The first post responding to her told her that if she wanted to post on that board, the only way she would be accepted by her was to change her siggy. Things blew up from there, mostly from the awful beast who first responded and she ended up changing her siggy to some dead cat and it was just so upsetting and inhumane and awful. The whole thing.
I feel so sorry for the OP and she handled herself really well. There were supportive girls on there, but I still thought it was devastating to read so I quit.
PS--good find, JM. I am sitting through on online webinar (boring!) and that helped me waste some time

No, think she was pretty regular. It got ugly though because she then put something in her sig about her cat that died. I *think* she also posted some pics of dead babies but I can't be sure. I also *think* she put something in her sig about being raped but again, not positive.

I heard about it on the other boards, but I didn't know who the rotten hollow core of a human being was. I thought for a minute you were talking about the girl with the sig, and I was really confused. I was given the impression that there was something of a pile-on with a lot of people attacking the girl with the sig.
...To the point where it spilled over onto other boards and you ended up with things like:
"Who's NOT watching Hunger Games tonight?"

"I don't like crowds, so I'll wait."
"I can't believe you were part of that awfulness on BNOTB! You're evil!"

It was all very surreal.
I saw several people PMing the Mod today; that was my assumption that they requested it be removed.
The OP (Figg something or other) was new to BNOTB but not to TN. The first poster (Alabaster Angel-or something like that) was the one that said Figg has to change her siggy because the board was specific to BNOTB. The shitt storm was 2 sided: one group agreeing with AA stating that they shouldn't be "reminded" of babies and the other group stating that Figg didn't even bring up babies, it was just in her sig so it shouldn't matter.
The sig I reposted was from another post that AA started, attempting to be funny(??).

Exactly. I couldn't get past the 2nd page of replies... it was disturbing. To think that anyone could be so cruel...internet stranger or not... just repulses me.
I missed it. I lurk/post ocassionally over there too. I don't know what was said but Alabaster Angel is a regular who has a couple kids herself. So you she wanted OP to change her siggy because it mentions babies? Doesn't even make sense.
The OP has a siggy with info regarding 2 babies that were stillborn. AA said that she should take them out because the board is Babies Not on the Brain and how can OP be suitable for that board when her siggy had "dead baby" info in it i.e. she still had babies on the brain. Make sense?

Right I get that. What I don't get is how AA could be so anti-(stillborn)baby siggy when she has children herself and at one point even had her siggy set as a picture of her with one of the kids. She regularly posted on BNOTB with a siggy pic of her child and no one told her to change it because we didn't want to see her kid.

It's ok because she's a reg. It's part of the "rules" over there. Though it doesn't really matter anymore since TN officially banned her today. Just when you think you run the show on an Internet message board, the Nest Gods put you in your place.
She'll be back with a new name eventually. The majority of that board would do well to GBCN in solidarity though.
