Yup. I got the Irish skin.

I sat outside today during lunch. I got sun poisoning through my jeans. Didn't really think that was possible.

That is all. Go about your Friday.

ETA: I know you gals don't know me that well. I'm not really into the whole "ask me anything" posts, but if you have questions, feel free to post them.

Re: Yup. I got the Irish skin.

  • I didn't think it was possible either until I started hiking and noticed all the really good hiking clothes have SPF factors to them.
Until you are happy with who you are, you will never be happy with what you have.
  • Good to know. I get sun poisoning on occasion, but usually only on exposed skin.

  • I really like your catbasket.

I have read that a white t-shirt has an SPF of 15. So if you burn while wearing SPF 15, you'll burn through your white t-shirt. I totally forget where I read that, so it could have been The Onion for all I know. Even on the best day, my facts are questionable. This is something you should know.

I think you should drink an iced coffee to take your mind off your roasty legs. That's what I'm doing. Other than the roasty legs part.

  • I get sunburns on my face during long commutes.  I feel you.

    ETA: reading comprehension fail

  • White vinegar helps take the sting away and also stops your skin from burning once you come in out of the sun. Always handy.
  • No, they are jeans. And not the thin, feel like trousers jeans either. The funny thing is that my arms were exposed and they are fine.

Maybe something in the fabric got super heated and burned me. I think I should sue the company that made these. Let me go to the bathroom and check the tag so I can email the manufacturer. Stick out tongue

An iced coffee sounds pretty awesome. I just might have to do that.

  • TIP is basically a jump in where you want kind of board.  No worries.  I will have to ask you to change your siggy though.  We don't tolerate kittens around here unless you're a reg with exactly 2.6 years of Nest experience.

    This is my siggy.
