My oldest son is proud of me!
A couple of weekends ago we went out of town on a hockey tournament and the hotel that we stayed in had a work out room, so I used it both Friday and Saturday nights. Yesterday he was talking about the kids on his team seeing me in running clothes and that he was telling them how far I ran. I asked him if that was a good thing, as he is in middle school and I am generally an embarrassment in all aspects right now. He told me it was way cool, and he even tells his gym teacher how much I can do!
That will now be the #1 reason that I have to never put off a workout!!!

I just found out that the university that I work for will allow him in the weight room and the multi-purpose room with me (as long as I am there) so I am going to invite him to join me. I sure hope so, I think it would be a great thing to bond over, as well as get him in the habit early. I honestly didn't know he cared one way or the other about my work out routine, but now that I do, I intend to use it! :-)
I have a kid in middle school as well, and any time you can get their approval is definitely a good thing!
