I think its awful that they could lie to you about something that could cause you to terminate? What if you choose not to terminate? Wouldn't it be fooking nice to know what you are dealing with so you can get a support team in place to help you care for the kid? They are being completely stupid on the off-chance that some woman somewhere would want to terminate the baby with whatever condition they are withholding.
Once again eliminating a woman's right to choose AND lying about it? That is just bullshyt of the highest order. ![]()
Re: Shouldn't this be malpractice?! WTMF?
Maybe you'd opt to have the child and make plans to move to a better school district so that when the time comes you won't have to go nuts looking for resources to help the kiddo.
And docs do make mistakes. i don't think an US is failsafe.
This is infuriating. I have never heard of any other time when doctors are given a free pass to lie to patients about test results but for some reason it's acceptable to do to women during pregnancy? *** that.
If I were a woman of child-bearing age living in Kansas, I'd be looking to move out-of-state right about now.

We miss you and love you always, little firecrackers!
I think omitting any information about your medical condition is malpractice. How on earth can you make an informed decision if a doctor plays God? A doctor who does not protect his patient's health is failing his oath.
A lot of women who would not terminate, but would chose to be prepared will not have the option. It is a vile thing to let a doctor decide and be legally protected by failing to do his job. Makes me angry and sad.
