Annoyed with Ann Taylor

I bought a pair of shoes, a bracelet, and some earrings on the Ann Taylor website on Friday.  At the time, they were running a buy one, get one half off promo, so I got the earrings for 50% off.  I paid full price for the shoes and bracelet.  Today, I got an email that everything on the website is now 40% off.  My order hasn't shipped yet, so I called customer service to see if they could do a price adjustment.  The rep said that they cannot apply promos to past orders.  Grrr!  

I ended up placing a second order of the exact same items (minus the earrings, because they're no longer available) to take advantage of the 40% off promo. I saved almost $90!  It's annoying that I'll have to make a return to the store, when Ann  Taylor could have just credited my first online order.

  • Yup, I get frustrated with this too. Unfortunately for me, though, if I wait, I often find that my size gets sold out. I don't wait anymore and just know that I have to be willing to pay full-price or more than it might be in a week or so.

  • this happened to me once with a dress and the people at the store told me that they would have adjusted the price.  Worth a shot next time maybe?

  • Yep, that's happened to me with a purse from there. I had to buy it again and return the original.
