Hi-a question about the wedge (particularly the corky ones), how dressy are they?

I am having trouble with shoes for a dinner I have to go to. It's at a nicer place but girls to wear pants and stuff to it.

So I am thinking about a black wrap dress, but black shoes would be super boring, right? Problem is every shoe I see with color that isn't a giant heel is that wedge type thing with the cork material bottom. Now, I LOVE these type of shoes, but are they not dressy enough?

The thing is-I've seen pics from this dinner and no one is winning any fashion awards....lol. But I don't want to be way off...wdyt?

  • I think a wedge, even cork wedges, can be on the casual dressy side.  Especially when you wear it with a cocktail type dress.

I guess it would depend on what the rest of the wedge looks like.  Do you have a picture of the wedge you're thinking of?  A pic of the dress would help to.
