siesta key FL?
I just recently heard about this place & we are exploring places to go this summer...we would like to be in a facility with multiple bedrooms & kitchen, access to a pool, short walk to the beach as we will have two 3 yr olds with us.
Any recs of places to stay (aside from trying to weed through vrbo)??? Also tips on areas of the island that are good & not as good...
I was told that it is about a 40 min drive to tampa airport, is this true?

Well, I live here so places to stay I can't help you with that but it is way more than a 40min drive from TPA. I am going to say 1-1.5 hours depending on traffic. Can you fly into SRQ?
I'm pretty sure there is not a direct flight to Sarasota
