Re: Anybody flown Tiger Airways in Australia?
I have not flown Tiger, but it seems they are always in the news for stopping all flights, or for being THIS CLOSE to filing bankruptcy.
When we were checking flights to Brisbane last year, Tiger had flights for $5 each way. I asked DH about it, and he just laughed. I guess a lot of people do fly Tiger, but it's not a risk I'd be willing to take, certainly not if I HAD to be where I was going.
DON'T DOOOO IT!
Tiger sucks big balls (like they say on wipeout). The hosties are terrible (they put a kid in the overhead bin as a joke for goodness sake) and they are notorious for cancelling flights with no compensation (your flights cancelled sir and we can't fly you out til Thursday <its Monday> and you have no money for a hotel- too bad, next).
Also you absolutely have to checkin on time- no excuses accepted. Try virgin or jetstar or rex and even qantas has some great deals especially if you sign up for their email.
