The Zimmerman family friend also denied that a word the watchman is heard blurting out on one of the 911 tapes is the racial slur, "***." Oliver said the word he hears Zimmerman saying is "goon."
"As far as, I mean as far as George being racist, I didn't take it as a racist term. I heard 'goon' and talking to my teenage daughter, apparently goon is a term of endearment in high school these days," he said.
"He wasn't talking to Trayvon when that comment was made. He was speaking a generality in that this suspicious person was someone who he ? lumped in -- as always getting away -- goon, ***. I mean, the bottom line, he thought he needed to keep an eye on this individual for whatever reason," Oliver said.

I don't think he said either one. The Martin family said that indecipherable muttering isn't on the original police tapes that were given to them. It seems to have been some hoax, added later.
asshhole is a term of endearment used is high schools these days...I know babycopz just loves it when she gets called an asshhole, just like when she gets called a goon. She actually bakes cookies for anyone who calls her asshhole or goon.

I think so. They edited out personal information from other callers (names and addresses), but it appears they also edited out the "goons" (*eye roll*) comment.

According to Urban Dictionary, Goon is a term used to describe a lower level gang member. His friend saying that would make much more sense and not make him look like such a dumbass. A term of endearment..WTF.
I finally listened to that part of the tape and you can clearly hear what he was saying and it was not goon, BTW.
I think you might have it confused with the word ending in -ook, instead of g-oon.
I've never heard of an Asian person called a goon. It could just be me though.
People continue to become more and more public with their idiocy. Goon as a positive term? People are grasping at straws trying to legitimize GZ. It's absurd.
