kinda SOR - Day 1 of the "new me"
I have officially started the Jillian Michaels Body Revolution. It's only 9:30 and I've already worked out, made 2 meals (breakfast and my lunch) plus a snack, and worked for an hour. The first week is the "kick start" so it's pretty intese food wise...no carbs (besides what is in veggies) and no sugars or fruits. It's supposed to kick metabolism back in to gear and help your body "detox" from sugars, then you add carbs back in week 2. Plus it's 2 workouts a day for the first week. I have a feeling this is going to kick my booty. No soda allowed, and I don't drink coffee, so no caffeine for me. Ugh.

) Wish me luck!
Re: kinda SOR - Day 1 of the "new me"
I just made some tea and put it in the fridge for lunch. We'll see how that goes without any honey or sugar in it....
The no carbs is only 1 week, so I *think* I'll be ok. I guess we'll see! And you're "allowed" 400mg of caffeine a day, I just don't don't like coffee and always got mine from soda.
Good luck! And I'd be really interested in hearing your progress. I've toyed with the idea of getting Jillian's program, but I wanted to hear more about it. I had no idea the first week was 2 workouts per day.
I'm on Week 2 of "clean" eating (per a nutritionist) and have lost 6lbs so far. I feel great, but the caffiene withdrawl was AWFUL the first week. Headaches, fatigue, moodiness. Yuck! I'm much better now though.
I'll keep you posted! I think it should get better after the first week. The cardio was pretty intense, so I have a feeling I'll be hurting after weights today, but hopefully it will all be worth it! I'm already having a tough time and wanting caffiene since I was up so early this morning, but I'm determined to feel comfortable in a bathing suit by this summer!
