Re: what are you looking forward to this week?

  • not much is going on this week other than trying to get ahead on school work before going away next month.

I may or may not be getting my next tattoo on Saturday.

Chris' cousin's daughter's 3rd birthday is Saturday night, but it's at this fun indoor playgym, so I know Samma will have a blast.

  • I have to leave NC today, and my BF and her adorable baby. :( But I have an awesome, much needed staycation planned. Tomorrow is a massage, then trivia. Wed, I am going to see another BF and her 1 mo. Old baby. Then more trivia at night. Thurs, we have the adoption class. Sat, I am going for drinks with SIL and cousin in law. Hopefully, I can work in some bike rides, workouts, studying for the teacher's test, and catching up on some organization and errands.

I'm going to try to get an appointment to get my hair cut this week - it's Ponytail central here.  I also have a gift certificate from H for a massage, might try to get that in too.

BFF's son turns 2 this week!  Party is on Saturday and apparently all he can talk about is the Mickey cake Aunt Lindsay is making him :)  He went to the pedi last week and the doctor asked him what he was going to get for his birthday.  Tucker told him "Mickey cake." :)

  • Hmm.

Tomorrow I'm going to babysit my youngest nephew for a few hours after work. My sister has a class, BIL has to work, and their regular sitter is out of town. Watching him and Ellie at the same time is fun but exhausting.

No other definite plans besides working - which I am not looking forward to.

This weekend is pretty low key. He got a museum membership for his birthday so maybe we'll go on Saturday.

  • Oh gosh. Where to start.

Today I'm looking forward to the furnace guy coming to replace the pump on our furnace which decided to fail causing a small pool of water to develop on the concrete floor on the very same day we had our real estate guy over to assess our house to put it on the market

Tomorrow I'm looking forward to the real estate guy coming over to take pictures of our house to put on the interwebs.

Wednesday I am looking forward to seeing Hunger Games with my mom & sister, getting a pedi and getting dinner.

At some point this week I would be amenable to ovulating so I can get the stupid IUI before I have to return the tank on Thursday. Otherwise I have to go have them recharge it with liquid nitrogen for I assume another $50.

I also look forward to the weekend where Jon goes away for his fantasy baseball draft while I do last minute cleaning to prepare for an open house on Sunday. WTF is wrong with us.

  • Getting our Federal tax refund. Once that is in, we will have 3 cc's paid off plus a chunk of another one. If we keep on track we will have: 1 Student Loan paid off in April, 1 Medical bill paid off in May, 1 larger cc paid off in December and the last cc paid off next April. Hope I can make Warden Kelly proud! :)

Other then that, just waiting for bowling on Thursday night. I am sad we only have 2 weeks left.

  • Today I am very sick and could not go to work :cough cough: However, my terrible husband is punishing me by taking me out for sushi and to go see Hunger Games. He'll also probably force us to go get our taxes done and meet up with a friend for her birthday. God, he's so unfeeling.

The rest of the week will involve a lot of working out and trying to get stuff together for the weekend.

Friday after work we leave for DC with our bffs! Can't for a long weekend of museum/monument seeing, eating delicious food, enjoying adult beverages and hopefully, maybe, if she's feeling up for it, fingers crossed that she is, having breakfast with Mary Tuesday morning.

  • I'm finally going to an interview on Thursday. Woohoo!

Which also means I'm going shopping today for interview clothes...not quite as woohoo since I feel completely lost when it comes to dressing professionally.

Well, its actually for an agency. I've discovered that up here, especially with the more techie type places, you almost can't get a job with them unless you go through an agency. So, I figured since I'm having such a hard time on my own, and it's free to me since they contract the agency, I might as well see what they can do for me. At the very least, it's good practice, and best case scenario, they will have an opening that fits well with what I'm looking for and I'll leave with a job offer.

Thats a good idea. I'm really proud of you for being so proactive about hunting for a job and I really hope something works out for you soon.
