Have you used a leveling compound?
Have any tips to share? Old house, one section (about 3 x6) slants. Need to level it out so that we can install hardwood floors. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
sometimes all you really need in life is a pink wig.
Re: Have you used a leveling compound?
We too had to level our floor but we ended up taking off the subfloor and shimming over the floor joists which is easier because then you only have a 1.5" wide area to level.
Shingles would probably be your best bet if you aren't tearing up the floor:

Self leveling concrete is another option but you would have to caulk every single gap/hole so that is probably too much work.
