How to display photos?

I have a large blank wall and I would like to put up family pictures. ?I have seen how people take lots of individual frames and make a big collage. ?Are there any new or different ideas out there? ?

Re: How to display photos?

  • I really love the ones where all the photos are on canvas.

    Same concept. Different spin.

I just started a small one in my basement FR over the winter. It's so cozy but not as cluttery as some photowalls.

I also like it when people throw in random things on the wall. Initials, song lyrics, a program from a special event etc.

  • I think collages look horrible most the time, in a nice living room.  But as PP mentioned canvas can look fantastic.  I am doing a couple scenic pics from our vacations on canvas and only doing black and white.
  • This is how we display ours. I just did a post about it, so more pic on my blog

(link in siggy). I agree with the pp about adding random things, or I prefer the complete opposite and like them hung very structured (if that makes sense)
