Brunch on Saturday was really great. All 3 of us ordered the same thing (Strawberry Shortcake Stuffed French Toast, how could you get anything else?) and it was really awesome.
Saturday was pretty low key, I didn't get home until 3:30 or so, so I did some dishes and hung out on the couch watching Bones. Derek got home around 10 or so and we chatted until nearly midnight. It was nice.
Yesterday I was up fairly early and just ended up watching Bones until Derek got up at 10:30 or so (I love Netflix) and then we got to work. He finished up installing the hardwood in the hallway of the second story and then got all of the hallway trim done. I did some computer things, had a nap, got groceries and made dinner!
We were about 4 episodes behind in The Walking Dead, so we watched 2 last night. The second one we watched gave me the sads. Also, Carl is an idiot.
How was everyone's weekend?
Re: Happy Monday!
I totally passed out after brunch! Like... 2? hour nap kind of passed out. It was amazing.
This is kind of a wacky week. The grade 7s are out on an outdoor ed trip, so I'm down to 2-3 classes a day, which is exciting. We got some pretty insane news today re: jobs that has me worried, but hopefully it'll all work out. The board is strapped for cash and it looks like, for the first time ever, they're going to be firing secondary teachers. I'm hoping that my 3? years with the board will give me enough seniority not to be on the chopping block, but these have been some lean years, and they're just going to get worse. We're supposed to bottom out around 2017 and then the numbers will get better (the elementary levels bottomed out last year), but... yikes. These are not fun times. Stupid Toronto housing market. Forcing families to live outside the city.
I want to go see The Hunger Games this week. That's on my to do list, and we've got to finish up cleaning out the spare room. We spent an hour in there last night going through boxes... gah. It's amazing how an apartment that's 50% bigger than our last one can be lacking so much storage! We had a spot for everything in our last place... this one, not so much.

My weekend was ok.
Saturday was really busy. I got a run in and then did some cleaning and general errand running. After church, DH and I put up the monkey decals in baby's room. After I get the shelves up this weekend I'll take a picture. Saturday night I just could not sleep. I was restless and baby was rolling around so much that it kept me up.
So, i was exhausted for work yesterday. I was so tired I skipped the gym and went right home. The neighbour kids were playing basketball for over 4 hours and the constant noise made me really stabby. and they kept going all over our lawn. DH is going to talk to the kid later today i think. And when I say neighbour kid, he is about 18. Good kid but they need to learn to respect our property.
Hope work today is better and my tiredness lifts.
Carl definitely takes after Lori.
This weekend was kind of gloomy with the weather, but fine overall. I got a bunch of book review stuff done and managed to get out the door to run nine miles (even though I really, really didn't want to). We did our usual chores, took a glorious two-hour nap yesterday, and experimented with a new recipe for dinner last night.
Today is quiet so far at work; I'm working on some routine things and waiting to see what craziness descends today. I have a Skype appointment with my brother tonight so I can hear all the details on his new job--should be a fun convo.
Hope everyone enjoys the day!
kaesha, I just bought out tickets to go see Hunger Games on Wednesday! Wooo! it's the VIP theatre, so it's a) 19+ (yay no kids), b) super comfy chairs and c) assigned seating (thank you aisle seats! there's no way I'll make it through a 2.5 hour movie without peeing at least twice).
beth, I'll have to go read that. I have a feeling she's one of the ones I usually ignore.
I'm a touch bummed, as there are now at least 3 people (myself included) on our BMB using the name Owen. Oh well! At least I don't know them IRL.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
Morning ladies.
All I have to say is what a difference in temps from this week to last. I know it's only March, but it is freezing. Oh well back to reality.
My weekend was good. I took the boys with some friends to attempt to see the Easter Bunny. I thought Zach was going to do it since he kept waiving to him, but when it came time to even get a little close, he was wrapped around me so tight. Christian did the same. It was rather amusing. No biggie, we will try again next year. We then went over to a friends house for the evening and the boys had a blast playing with the other kids, and their dads. I wish DH could have been there too, but he had to work.
Yesterday we stayed in, and I did manager to finish laundry. I will fully admit, when the boys napped, I sat on my butt and did absolutely nothing. It was so nice to have an hour and half to myself with no one tugging on me, and just enjoying peace and relaxation.
Another busy week at work since it's the end of the month.
Have a great day ladies!
Good morning. I'm still playing catch up at work today but that is to be expected.
This weekend was pretty good. We ran a bunch of errands Saturday morning, including picking up my C-RV at the shop. It hit 100K miles so needed the full overhaul - $385. It will also need a timing belt soon for another $700. Sigh.
Saturday night we went shooting and I learned a valuable lesson - do not wear a v neck shirt to the range. An expended casing fell right down my shirt and got trapped in my bra and burnt a perfect image of a 9mm cartridge on the spot between my boobs. It hurts like a mo-fo.
Sunday we didn't do much of anything. I made delicious turtle cheese cake bars (on my Pinterest) that probably have 9 million calories, but oh so good.
Finally, I think I'm going to have to give up and go mattress shopping this week. I slept like total crap last night and it's probably 13+ years old, so I guess I'm due.

Happy Monday.
I had a great weekend. I studied, saw the hunger games and relaxed.
That French toast sounds amazing. Yum
Can I vent about something? So, I think it's ridiculous, RIDICULOUS, the number of women on my bmb fb group who complain about being in a bad mood with their husbands and blame it on hormones. Honestly, you didn't just magically become a *** overnight. Like, throwing a hissy fit over their husband picking up the wrong kind of donuts and then claiming that he should have known better? Eeek. I could never, NEVER imagine treating another person that way, especially my husband.

Good morning everyone!
B and I finally got back home yesterday from our vacation. The cruise, as you all know from Reba's post, was excellent. We ended up spending a couple extra days in Florida with the ILs. It was nice to see them and just enjoy the extra days in the sun. We got in Friday night, really late, and then babysat one of our nephews overnight on Saturday while SIL and BIL and their older son were were at an OOT Bar Mitzvah. The rest of the weekend was lots of running around to pick up the pets, errands, and laundry. Work today is going to be nuts, but I'm looking forward to some downtime tonight.
Hope everyone has a good Monday.
Kaesha, I couldn't agree more. I know hormones can take over, but to me it is not an excuse to treat your husband like crap. If I flipped how many time DH forgot to get me an ice cream, donut, or anything I wanted, he would have flipped.
Good morning!
My weekend was excellent! Friday we went out for happy hour, we sat out on the patio had some margaritas and some really good appetizers. Saturday I took Sage for a hike in the canyon near our house then did a ton of yard work.
Sunday J's friend left so we had a lazy afternoon together and watched HP and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (DH hadn't seen it yet). Then we meet my parents for dinner at a really good Italian restaurant.
Today is kind of a rough day for us every year. Today is the anniversary of J's best friends death. We are meeting up with some of J's friends tonight for a drink and celebration of T's life. Today would have also been my Grandpa's 75th birthday, but he passed in 99' after a long battle with brain tumors.
Morning, ladies! Today totally feels like a Monday to me. My computer has already crashed on me 2x, so I've had IT guys in and out of my office this morning.
The weekend was good. I spent all day Saturday visiting my parents. My mom and I went to see the Hunger Games. We both read the books and enjoyed the movie. My sister was in town as well, so it was great to see her. Yesterday we went to a cook out a friend's house. The food was great and the weather was perfect. The only down side was that I wasn't able to start on my Sunday housework until much later than usual. I was still folding laundry late last night.
Today should be another busy day at work. I'm hoping that my computer continues working for me. Have a great day!
Good afternoon..since morning slipped away from me.
I am super busy at work this week so I may be MIA some. This weekend was nice but I am disappointed at how little I got done at the house this weekend. Saturday I went and picked up a good bit of stuff at lowes including the paint. I went to the house but just wasn't in the mood to paint at all. I was discouraged and aggravated and started crying. The boys were tired and cranky so we called it a day and went home. Sunday I took the boys to mcdonalds and to play in the place. It was nice to just hang out with them this weekend. Next weekend is business time.
Afternoon! I have a headache this afternoon...boo! But other than that I had a great weekend and a decent day. Saturday Ed and I went out to lunch, then to see Hunger Games at the IMAX, and then did a little shopping at Target (and I got some mat jeans that actually fit as opposed to the ones I have been lent which are either a little too tight or a little too loose). Sunday I went with a coworker to visit another coworker who is off for maternity leave for the year--I got to play with her 2.5 year old daughter and snuggle her 4 month old son. Then I spent the rest of the day hanging out.
Today was fine...my last period class was annoying. 7 of my 15 kids didn't have their rough drafts completed (and they were 7 of the 8 kids on my 45 kid team that didn't have them done). They had just as much time as the other classes, but they didn't get their acts together. They are usually my easiest group, but they really dropped the ball on this, so now they are behind and I can't schedule any more computer time (they're booked) so they are going to have to figure out how to complete their papers on their own. Oh well...
Oh, and I'm half baked today! Baby has been wiggling up a storm all weekend which is awesome!
