About to bombard y'all with questions! 1) best babymoon location in US
What would be an awesome babymoon location in the US? I'm semi-high-risk (see siggy) so want to be not too far from a decent hospital but also have the following requirements:
- Starwood property - in order to make this trip as close to "free" as possible, we need to stay at a Starwood hotel/resort so I can use my SPG points
- near gorgeous beach or some other amazing scenery
- updated, comfortable rooms w/ great views
- spa
- access to awesome food... the foodie-er the better!
- doesn't have to be kid-free but would be nice if there were some adult-only relaxing areas.

Re: About to bombard y'all with questions! 1) best babymoon location in US
Not sure where you are traveling from - the first place that comes to mind, since you suggested a Starwood property is the Annapolis Westin. Annapolis is a great little town - with great scenery, restaurants, and shops. It's also a short drive to little day trips near downtown - St Michaels comes to mind. The Westin is across the little courtyard from a spa and close enough to all of the major Baltimore hospitals - University of Maryland, Hopkins, etc.
Not to mention - the hotel is beautiful. We got there married there so I'm a little biased, but it's absolutely gorgeous. And the area around is just as nice. There are two good restaurants right across the way - Fado and Carpaccio. There was a Morton's in the hotel but I think it's closed and I'm not sure what opened in its place.
Aw, thank you!!! Hope you're doing well!

Budget is as small as possible. Airfare would be covered w/ airline miles. So we'd just be looking at rental car, food, activities, etc to pay for. Which is still a lot, I know. Hawaii is definitely NOT out, in fact it's at the top of my list because I've never done a real "tropical" vacation before. We live in Texas so there's not a ton that is appealing within a reasonable driving distance that we haven't already done.

We were going to go to the St. Regis Princeville for our Babymoon (had to cancel at the last minute due to pregnancy complications)...I haven't been there but it looked fantastic!
We ended up rebooking our Babymoon and decided on Maui because it was rainy season in Princeville and I will say that Hawaii made a fantastic location for a Babymoon...I loved that I didn't have to worry about access to medical care yet it was still a fantastic tropical location.
If you have the miles for it, I would definitely say Hawaii. There's a Sheraton on the Big Island (but I heard it's undergoing renovations so maybe call to check), a St. Regis on Kauai (and I think a Sheraton too), and I'm sure there are SPG hotels on Maui. You'll have to see if you have enough points to get the room with the view and for how many nights, but all three islands are great.
If not Hawaii and you're dead set on a beach, I guess maybe Florida? I'm not sure there are tons of great beaches in the Continental US. If you're game to not have a beach, you could look at wine country (Napa / Sonoma), which is beautiful and fun even if you don't drink (and very relaxing and GREAT for food). Or maybe somewhere near San Diego? Coronado or something?
