Nordstrom ?: return item bought in store by mail?
Hello,
I bought foundation last month at Nordstrom and HATE it and would like to return it. Problem is, Nordstrom is a PITA to get to (and is majorly out of the way for me), and I have to pay a $12 toll to get there. So it would be cheaper and easier to mail the item + receipt to the store and have them process the return without me being there. Most of the purchase was made with a gift card, and I'd be happy to get store credit for the full value if that's all they could do. Can I do this?
Re: Nordstrom ?: return item bought in store by mail?
Call the store. I would think you should be able to return to a store.
I bought a pair of shoes from Charles David, I decided I didn't like them and wanted to return them, but there was no Charles David store in NYC (boggles my mind that there is not one here). So I called the store and they gave me the address and asked me to return them directly to the store.
This is precisely what she was trying to avoid doing...
I think SA meant that she returned them by mail directly to the store?
It *is* kind of bizarre that there's no Charles David here. Well, and that there's no Nordstrom.
Yeah exactly. I did return them by mail to an actual stores address.
And yeah, why isn't there a Nordstrom either?
Exactly.
OP, I'm sure you can. You have the receipt, right? Can't hurt to try asking.
