Exercise and cycle change question
(xp on botb)I started running roughly every other day on Jan 20. The 2 periods that I've had since then have been much lighter than usual. Normal periods before this were usually 4-5 days with heavy flow on days 1 and 2, then tapering down. The last 2 have been 2 days of light flow, and that's it (not counting spotting in either example). I've heard of extreme exercise (like marathon training) interfering with AF, but not moderate. Also, I've been having awful, painful breakouts on my shoulders and back. I shower within 10-15 minutes of finishing running (I run on the treadmill at my apt complex gym), but maybe that's not soon enough? One of my coworkers is athletic, and she thinks that because I'm showering immediately, that the problem might be hormonal. Do you think it's possible that my body is adjusting, almost like a body will after coming off of BCP? I know on BOTB we say that it takes 3-6 months for a body to regulate hormonally after coming off of bcp-is it possible that my body is doing something similar? If this is the case, then I'll give it another month or 2 to see what happens before mentioning it to my OB/gyn. I'd like to see if anyone here has advice or a similar experience though.FTR: I started out doing 3 miles while watching a hulu show. I'd run during the ~4 or so 30-sec commercials. I've gradually increased to where I'm now going 5 miles, and I'm running for 3 mins then walking for 2. Thanks!
