Re: Oh TB, its always something with you...
My dad lost his wedding ring in the ocean when my parents were first married. So it does happen.
Personally, it wouldn't bother me for DH to not wear his ring if he has a valid reason. I think the beach is a valid reason. I never wear my rings to the beach, probably because of my parent's story.
I also don't think that DH would leave me if I were 35 weeks pregnant.

Is he going to be in the ocean the ENTIRE time?! Um. No.
And I'm w/ kuus- I don't get these day long parties either.

Unless his wedding ring is channel set diamonds, I'm a little confused as to why he's so terrified of losing his ring. Sounds more like she knows her H is a skank and a half and knows he'd like to appear single.
And yes, days long bachelor parties are ridiculous.

I agree that these week long bachelor trips are ridiculous. What happened to one night of binge drinking and strippers?
If it were me I would be more pissed that he knows it bothers me (though she did not say that she verbally expressed her discomfort with him leaving it there) and wants to do it anyway.
When you've been married this long, you need a ticker to remind you.

I don't understand these multiple day bachelor/ette parties either. I think it is weird and expensive when you are spending money on a wedding. Plus your friends have to take off work for it and shell out all this money.
I do see where the guy doesn't want to take his ring on the beach though. Neither of us did when we were on the honeymoon. But we locked them in the safe. I think if H was going on a weekend like this, he would probably just lock it in his room or truck or something. But then again his was $65 from Overstock anyway.
All of the stupid-laden Bump posts don't deserve their own threads so I'm adding this one here.
JFC this makes me want to get pregnant and ride a dirt bike without a helmet through shark infested waters while eating cold cuts just to spite these crazies.
