Kinda S/O related - Boudoir Photography?
I just decided that once my divorce if final (soon!) I am going to treat myself and get boudior photos done. I have been working out like crazy and feel like I'm in the best shape of my life finally (except for that dam extra baby-belly skin that just won't ever go away..grr).. but I think those kind of pics are just so gorgeous and who doesn't want beautiful pics of themselves?! LOL I think I would need to find a woman photographer otherwise I might feel uncomfortable parading around in next to nothing. Has anyone done them? I am kinda shy, so just wondering what to expect.
Re: Kinda S/O related - Boudoir Photography?
I did some artistic nudes with a photographer...it was uncomfortable when I first got undressed, but after that, I was fine. I'm also pretty comfortable in my own skin, which helps. I was really happy with one of the pictures, and the other two were ok (it was a short shoot, so only 3 poses). I have a friend who is a professional photographer, so I'm thinking of doing a photo shoot with him once I lose a bit of weight. I think it would be a lot of fun! It's very empowering to have awesome, sexy photos of yourself!
I did them in 2011 for H for Valentine's Day! It was a special my wedding photographer and another photographer friend had going on (both women). I had a blast doing it. I'm a bigger girl so I was a little apprehensive, but I'm not camera shy and I take nice pictures - but they turned out so beautiful and tasteful not trashy at all and a huge confidence boost! I was so pleased with the results. As for giving them to H for Valentine's Day - he was less then excited to receive them as a gift. Whateves...
Go for it...have fun with it!!

I did them for XH when we got engaged. Made him a whole book of pics that he looked at, said "nice" and promptly put in a drawer (asss). When I left I took them and my passports (there are some nude shots).
He never appreciated them but I love them! They are tastefully done and I am so glad I did them.
It is a goal of mine to do these when I get to my goal weight (or before if I feel like it!) for myself.
I think it is almost more special to have them for myself. I do not think I will do nudes (or at least where you can see anything) but who knows!
I did them in Oct of last year. It was such an incredible experience, something I think, every woman should do! It was so fun, and the pictures are absolutely amazing...
I say do it, and enjoy yourself to the fullest!! Its fun being a woman
That damn book was the one thing I couldn't find when I was packing things up. I DEFINITELY wanted to take it with me.
At least I have the disc and all the digital copies.

Oh no! Yeah I took the disc with the copies too. I shredding up the book because I had a personal message printed up for him in it. Nipples are very tough to shred, btw! I'm glad I have the digital copies though!
Honest comment? I'm a *little* worried about what he did with it. It WAS always on the nightstand next to his desk. But when I came back the one day I did to pack everything up, it wasn't there, nor in his desk or dresser, nor on any bookshelves or in any closets. I'm pretty sure he was purposefully hiding it from me.

Mint, do you remember where you had them done? Was it in North Jersey? I could use a recommendation if you got one
I lived in MA at the time and got them done up there but I know some girls got them done back when I was on the NNJ Knot. Maybe ask there for photog recs?
I did them a while ago, I am not shy whatsoever but I was even more outgoing than I thought. I think the type of person that takes photos, if they're good at it, can put people at ease so I wouldn't be too worried. After a couple shots you'll warm up.
Bring props
This is kind of the exact opposite of what the OP was asking, but glad he likes it.
Not really. It is in that my husband loves it, but I'm glad to have it too, for when I'm old and not as hot.
The point was that I shot my own (google DIY boudoir) a nd therefore didn't have to deal with the awkwardness of being photographed
I'm sorry that I wasn't clear.
