Whine and wine
Yesterday we found out that our bank will not give us the full amount of the loan we need for our new house which means that we will have to put more money up front meaning that we will have to cancel our cross country trip in June 
I was really really looking forward to this trip and working my butt off to make it possible, everything was planned, mapped out, reserved, flight booked and all, but will all have to be cancelled. DH keeps reminding me that we are getting a new house so it's still pretty good, and I know he's right and that we are fortunate to even have a house... but still, can't help being upset, even though I know I'm acting like a spoiled child whining about it.
And to make matters worse, the bank said it will take two more months and not two weeks (although it has already been 2 months) to finalize the loan meaning that we will have to move in with my in-laws since we have to move out at the end of next week.
Ok, done whining. Now, off to serve myself a glass of wine and drown my sorrows. I promise to be more reasonable tomorrow.

That sucks about the loan, but at least you've been approved.
Is there any way to talk to the seller about renting the house for those two months while you're waiting for the sale to close? I did this when I sold my house last year, and it was nice to get some income while waiting for everything to close. At least this could keep you from moving in with your in-laws.

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll take that trip soon... In the meantime, you can use the money to invest in your new home!

Actually, that trip we won't be able to do later, at least not the way we planned it, which is why it is so hard to accept. I'm still foolishly holding on to some hope that somehow we will make it happen. Maybe I'll start playing the lottery. I think the wine is starting to work
