i'm too worried about ACA and the SCOTUS.
Do I kill SD's dream if they repeal it and tell her to go to law school (I jest)? She wants to be an artist. She has pre-existing medical conditions that without ACA no one will insure her except through an employer sponsored plan. Our insurance company has spent over $100k on her in the last 6 mos alone... she can't afford that out of pocket.
Re: I can't focus on work
how? it seems like if she works for the man she has to give up the dream.

Work for a school? In advertizing? In marketing? Get into web design?
Honestly, you don't have to figure her life out for her. There are lots of things you can study that end up being applicable to the real world.

I work in advertising and we have a whole team of graphic artists and designers, creative directors, etc at my company. I also work with many marketing departments who have in-house artists and designers. I guess it depends on what type of artist she wants to be, but there are certainly career paths she could follow and have employer-sponsored health insurance.
I hate the way our healthcare system works and would personally support Universal Health Care, but I don't think she's necessarily screwed even if ACA is found unconstitutional and she decides to pursue art as a career.
Of course Romneycare will go down in defeat.
But you know what I like to do to people who can't focus at work?

Obamacare! Obamacare! That's what I meant.
