This is insane! Wish I could run this fast!

They posted the official results for the Shamrock shuffle I did yesterday. My official time, 19:14!

Anyways..the guy who won? Yeah he ran finished in 9:04! Holy Cow! I saw the guy when he was headed back and he looked like he was really cookin'...I guess you could say that!

Re: This is insane! Wish I could run this fast!

  • What was the distance? I am always in aw of the finishing times of the races that I do. I'm super slow and am just happy to finish, some of these people are just insanely fast!

    Ridley Run 3.1 - 4/9/11 - 34:24 - 1st race evah!
    Kelly Monaghan's 5K - 5/15/11 - 3rd Place in AG
    Walk the Talk 5K - 5/18/11 - 31:12 PR
    Ridley Run 3.1 - 4/14/12 - 1st race of the year, 32:45
  • Just 2 miles, but that's like 4ish minutes a mile! I'm with you, I was just super happy to run the whole thing and finish. I can't wrap my head around people running that fast.
  • My mind immediately went to 5K since that is what my shuffle was, and I was literally in shock that someone could run 3.1 miles in 9 minutes.  2 miles makes a lot more sense, though is still insanely fast!

  • he was probably an 18-20 yr old boy, huh?  they DO run fast!  i think for a mile they run sub-4 (and then closer to 5 for a 5K, which is just over 15 minutes).

yeah, i cannot imagine running like that but i also cant imagine peeing standing up.  somethings in life we will just never comprehend, lol.
