Does anyone else not like wedge shoes?
I find them so unflattering!
Re: Does anyone else not like wedge shoes?
It really depends on the type of the wedge and the whole structure of the shoes and how you balance it with the rest of the outfit.
I currently wear these to work everyday and love them, a lot more comfortable than heels and more appropriate for my work place (it doesn't scream heels, but still gives me a little lift!)
My other summer favorites are these two, the one on the left is a little clunky, but it looks nice (imho) with my flowy dresses; I would not wear them with more structured dresses, then it does look clunky.
They are JCrew, and although I was hesitant to pay full price, but it has turned out to be one of my best purchases this year. I have been wearing them almost everyday since I bought them, even on weekends, and I have been able to incorporated them to some of my weekend looks, too.
In sandal (espadrilles) I think they look great.
As a replacement for a pump I think they kinda suck. But days when I'm standing on a concrete slab working a convention for 12 hours you better believe I rock a wedge (though I refuse to wear them with skirt/dress - only pants).

Agree. I love them but mostly as a sandal. If I wear a pump, I like them sleek (no platform, thinner wedge)
They make my ankles look skinnier so I like them. I tend to stick ones without a platform and espidrialles (sp).
I also have a pair like TX- Bride and I love them for days when I'm not feeling the heels. I don't think they go with almost everything, like pumps, but they can be a good stand-in.
My H hates them too- but the only shoes he likes are heels anyway.
Nope, you're not alone. I HATE them. Especially the espadrilles-ish ones.
Fwiw, I'm 5'10" so tall shoes irritate me in general.
