About to lose my f-ing mind
My STBX has no concept of a schedule or planning in andvance and it is driving me insane.
He won't agree to work with me on a temporary visitation schedule to get us to our mediation appointment (the kids are in my care 100%). He sends me texts or emails about things he wants to do with the kids a few hours before he wants to do them or makes plans for them without telling me.
UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for letting me vent.
Re: About to lose my f-ing mind
I just took up kickboxing. I highly recommend it. If you ask nicely, they might let you put a picture on the punching bag.
((hugs))
I'm sorry. It sucks. We have a temporary visitation schedule (ordered through the court), and I still have these issues. Unfortunately, men like this will always be like this even after an order is entered. I do my best to ignore it and not let it bother me. And I stick to our schedule as closely as possible.
Hang in there! So many of us feel your pain!
hugs! Just make sure you have your own boundries established and when stbxh crosses them, just let him know that and that he is out of luck.
Try not to let his action get to you or make you change your plan. Keep your foot on the ground.
Have you sent the time YOU are available to the mediator? Do you have to submit them togehter?
I would just give them my times and say you tried to communicate with X, but could not get a date from him. With any visitation I would require at least 24 hour notice. In reality if he is not working with you on a schedule I would email him times the kids are available and ask him to respond by a certain date as to if he would like to take them for x amount of time.
Save you emails/texts to both the mediator and X. Write a handwritten log of any phone calls regarding visit/divorce discussions, but try to talk via email so you have a more solid record.
I am not saying this to "screw him over" it will just cover you if he ever claims you were not giving him access to the kids or that you were not working with him. GL!!
This is great advice. Email is your best friend if you two are having problems! It's actually the only way I communicate with my Ex because of the issues we have. And he still tries to accuse me of things even when it's all in writing!
Thanks everyone. We have a counseling session today and I am hoping we can talk about this.
I am saving all of his texts and emails to bring to our mediation appointment, which is next week, but our court date isn't until the end of April. Thanks for the advice and support!!
